La cinqième Summer School Gobelins dédiée à l’animation de personnage (Character Animation) se déroulera du 30 juin au 15 juillet 2010.

Frédéric Nagorny interviendra lors de première Master Class.
Le sujet sera le mouvement de pendule, indispensable en animation de personnage.

Le mouvement pendulaire, allié aux règles de la gravité et de l’inertie, amène le public des spectateurs à croire que le personnage existe réellement.
Une bonne exécution de ce type de mouvement requière des poses clés et un timing, et permet d’apporter une plus grande crédibilité au personnage.
Couvrant l’aspect du balancement des bras dans un cycle de marche, un personnage balançant des lianes (lianes) dans une jungle en brachiation, ou des singes se balançant de branche en branche, l’analyse de tels mouvements peut être appliquée à la fois aux styles animés réalistes ou au cartoon, ainsi qu’à l’animations 2D et 3D.

The first master class (2,5 days) will be given by our animation teacher Frederic Nagorny and will focus on the study of swinging movement, indispensable in character animation.
Such movement, allied to the rules of gravity and inertia, leads the audience of spectators to believe the character really exists. A good execution of this type of movement involving key poses and timing, brings greater credibility to the character.
Covering the aspect of swinging arms in a walk cycle, a character swinging vines (liana) in a jungle to brachiation or monkeys swinging from branch to branch, the analysis of such movements can be applied to both realistic and cartoon styles as well as to both 2D and 3D animation._
